Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
I love and hate this time of the season probably in equal measure.

The season only finished yesterday and I'm trawling the interwebs for any snippet of news.

The only real one I have high hopes for is Maxi Gomez but, I suspect, his signature will be very highly contended.

To be fair I have total faith in the management team to identify the targets they want. I think players WILL want to play for Pell.

Hopefully we move fast and put us all out of our misery quickly. We only need 3 or 4 excellent signings. No big ask that hey!?!

Don't want to put a downer on it but total faith seems a bit strong after the Sanchez signing!

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
New back up GOALTENDER
New left back to replace Masuaku if he's sold
New defensive midfielder
A whole new STRIKEFORCE

I'd also like to see a left footed winger that plays on the right (a right sided Anderson in WHO terms).

Nasri likely to reject West Ham offer

Samir Nasri is likely to turn down an offer of an extended contract on pay as you play basis.

The 31-year-old short term contract comes to end in June with just six appearances to his name he is unlikely to receive anything better from the Hammers.

The French midfielder current deal is reported to worth £50,000 per week basic plus £20,000 per appearance bonus. His representatives are said to have wanted £70,000 per week basic plus £20,000 per appearance bonus. The Hammers are only thought to want to pay a large appearance bonus without a basic weekly wage to protect themselves against further injuries.

The player did not endear himself to Manuel Pellegrini by turning up late to training at Rush Green in his last week of preparations in the run-up to the end of the season before the Watford game on Sunday and that could have been the reason for his absence in the matchday squad over the weekend.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
I've always thought that to make good progress you need to bring in 3 bonafide top class starting eleven players if you already have the basis of a good side, which we do..

I'd like to see a forward, a left back and a player in either the Jack Wilshire mould, since we can't rely on him, or another wide player, or both if being greedy.

Then a back up keeper and another forward, assuming Hernandez goes.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
A lot of players need to leave
3-4 good ones need to come in
Make up the rest with best candidates from Development squad

My leave candidates

Adrian
Oggy
Arthur
Obiang
Nasri
Chicarito
Perez
Hugill

Reid and Wilshere we are stuck with and won't feature regularly ever again.

We need pace up front Bowen at Hull impresses me...he has done more in two seasons than Hugill in his entire career at a lower level.

Is Memphis Depay out of our range?

I’d probably take a little gamble on bakayoko as well

I'd sell any of them apart from Fabianski, Diop and Balbuena.

Tottenham Hotspur keen on West Ham United left-back Arthur Masuaku

According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing West Ham United left-back Arthur Masuaku as a replacement for the likely-to-depart Danny Rose.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has been impressed with the performances of the 25-year-old since his arrival from Olympiakos three years ago, and with Ben Davies set to be the only left-back available once Rose leaves, the Hammers star is being tracked for a possible summer move.

Masuaku has only a year left on his current contract at the London Stadium, but West Ham have an option to extend his contract for another year afterwards, and it remains to be seen if they will be open to letting him leave.

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and Serie A side Fiorentina are also interested in the services of the Congolese international, so Spurs have stiff competition to beat to his signature.

The Champions League finals against Liverpool could be Rose’s last game in the Tottenham shirt, and the 28-year-old has since admitted the possibility.

Masuaku has featured in 62 Premier League games for the Hammers, including 23 during the 2018-19 campaign, and given how impressive he has been, he will no doubt be a fine replacement for Rose at the North London club.

The prospects of regular Champions League football and competing for the top-flight title are more than enough to convince the Congolese, and it will be exciting to see how things go when the summer transfer window kicks off in full swing.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
If we sold Masuaku to sp*rs, Pochettino would probably turn him into the best LB in the division.

Leonardo KOUTRIS.

One for the linked list Al.

Given the sort of figures Spurs quote when clubs ask for their players I presume they will be happy to pay £40m for Arthur

Is it really not sure enough to put Carroll as leaving? Also Adrian?
A date to watch in 30/06/2019, when contracts of Carroll, Adrian and Nasri finish and I imagine that will be that if nothing new has been signed.

Masuaku can go for £10m, or £30m to Spurs.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Anybody else concerned about Lanzini? He has become very injury-prone and always seems to take a long time to get back into any kind of decent form after his injuries. For me, he's been really poor since returning from his latest injury, but he gets easily forgiven due to past performances.

Anyway, in my view we need to do better in that attacking midfielder role, or at the very least have someone who's going to push Lanzini for his place. I'm a big fan of Wilshere but he can't be relied upon.

That's why I'm really hoping we get in for Bradley Dack - a dynamic power-house of a player. He's strong, busy, skilful, very hard to shake off the ball and has a terrific eye for goal. 15 goals and 7 assists from midfield for Blackburn this season can't be bad.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
The Exile just where have you been banished to? Another Planet? Lanzini returned earlier than expected from a potentially threatening ACL injury. Was expected to be out the whole season. Returns in time to play 10 games scores 1 and gets 1 assist. Hardly matches your description does it. Ok he is not yet back to his best but hopefully he soon will be next season. He is already better than Dack who is as yet unproven in the top fight.
